Benedictine’s Mission is based on the Gospel and the Rule of Saint Benedict. In his Rule, written in the Fifth Century, Saint Benedict wrote, “Before all things and above all things, care must be taken of the sick, so that they will be served as if they were Christ in person; for He Himself said, “I was sick, and you visited Me,” (Matthew 25:36) and, “What you did for one of these least ones, you did for Me” (Matthew 24:40).

This Mission of care is fulfilled daily in Benedictine Living Communities where those in need of 24-hour skilled care, rehabilitation from surgery, memory care or assistance to live as independently as possible are served with hospitality, respect, stewardship and justice.
