Embracing a Legacy of Compassion and Generosity

In the tapestry of our lives, threads of compassion, love, and dedication weave together to create a beautiful design. Our legacy donors are the embodiment of these threads, leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of Benedictine's mission.

We honor the memory and legacy of two remarkable women, Susan and Carol, who embraced the Benedictine community as their extended family.

Susan, driven by a desire to care for those who call Benedictine Living Community–Winona home, left a lasting legacy of compassion. Her generous gift of over $560,000 will continue to support and uplift the lives of the residents at Benedictine Winona, echoing her dedication to creating a warm and nurturing environment.

Carol, on the other hand, found her purpose in faith and service. A devout volunteer at the chapel of Benedictine Saint Anne, she channeled her devotion into leaving a bequest of nearly $250,000. Her faith-driven generosity echoes within the Benedictine walls, touching the lives of residents and community members.

But the legacy of giving does not end there. Many years ago, a grateful son witnessed the exceptional care his mother received at Benedictine Living Community–Duluth. The compassion and support he witnessed during his mother's stay left an everlasting imprint on his heart. Motivated by this profound experience, he orchestrated a planned gift from his estate, designating $150,000 to enhance the assisted living spaces at Benedictine Westwood.

This generous contribution lays the foundation for the revitalization of the entry and reception space at Benedictine Westwood. It will create a welcoming and functional environment, reflecting our dedication to ensuring the highest quality of care and comfort for our residents and their families.

As we celebrate these inspiring stories of lifelong giving and compassion, we invite you to reflect on the impact each one of us can make in the lives of others. Together, we carry the torch of Benedictine's mission, fostering inclusive communities and supporting those we serve to live well and with purpose.
